My order status says processing. What does this mean?
"Processing" means that we have received your order and are in the process of completing the filing with the state. Once the state approves the filing, you will receive an e-mail confirmation and the order status will change to "Filed." Generally, once a filing is submitted to the Secretary of State, it takes several business days to be completed and several weeks for the evidence to be returned by the state. Of course, the turnaround time varies depending entirely upon how quickly the state's office is currently processing requests. Some states have a shorter turnaround time, and some states take longer.

I received a bill from your company for statutory representation. What is this invoice for?
When you formed your corporation or LLC with The Company Corporation, we included our Registered Agent service for the first year. The invoice you received is to renew that service for the second year. Maintaining a Registered Agent in the state of formation is an ongoing legal requirement to avoid piercing the corporate veil. All corporations and LLCs maintain a Registered Agent for the duration of their existence with the state. Which state should I select for my business formation?
Most of our clients incorporate or form their LLC in the state in which they are primarily doing business. This can save you filings with and fees to more than one state on both an initial and annual basis. Companies are generally required to register with and pay each state in which they do business. However, we can assist you in forming the company in any state and then registering to do business in others if you wish.
What is a Registered Agent and how much does the service cost?
A Registered Agent is designated to receive important tax and legal documents on behalf of the corporation. The Registered Agent must be located and available at a legal address within the specified state at all times. Failure to maintain a Registered Agent in the state in which the corporation is registered may result in the forfeiture of the corporate status. The first year of our Registered Agent service is included as part of our incorporation or LLC formation packages. After that, our annual fee is currently $215. We do have discounts available for multi-year renewals, which can lower the annual rate to $150.
