S Corporation Tax Treatment
After we have completed your state filing, you may elect federal Subchapter S tax treatment through the IRS using Form 2553. We will send you this form with your official state documents. Check with your state's Department of Revenue or equivalent office to determine your state's procedures for electing Subchapter S status at the state level.
State Fees
Our quote of the state fees may include the following costs, where applicable: State Fee: The filing fee that the Secretary of State charges to process your new formation.
State Expedite Fee: The priority handling fee that the state charges to expedite your new formation.
Certified Copy Fee: The fee that the state charges to provide a "true and correct" copy of the document that evidences your new formation.
Recording Fee: The fee charged by government agencies to record your new formation in public records.
Publishing Fee: Some states require you to publish your new formation in a local newspaper or other publication. The publishing fee is the fee charged by the local newspaper or other publication.
Walk-In (Correspondent) Fee: The fee that is paid to hand-deliver your new formation documents to the Secretary of State.
